I spent over 20 years researching things in The Bible . When I read about God telling the children of Israel to go into a city , break down their sacred pillars , cut down their Asheroth poles , kill every woman and child , kill all their animals , burn the Asheroth poles , cut down their groves , break their sacred pillars and dump them on the bones of the dead men , I wondered what those people did to make God so mad . That started my deep research of things in The Bible .
